My Son’s Room Circa 2008

If you read my “About” page, you know I am not a decorator. I am just a plain boring accountant who was for a while addicted to HGTV. As an HGTV addict, I watched their shows, I subscribed to their magazine and I obsessively scoured their website for ideas.
So, this morning I decided to look at the post I made a few years ago on the Rate My Space column. The post contained photos of my son’s room when it was almost completed. I knew something was still missing when I took the photos but I was not sure what it was. As I was looking through the photos I had specifically taken from the Rate My Space Post, I saw it. The room needed orange! It was the photo of the orange book on top of the Blu Dot Modulicious dresser that told me. It was staring at me the whole time, but I had to see in a photo to realize it, funny! So I took it from there and added small doses of orange. Eventually, red also made it to his room. You can look at the other two related posts in this blog: Sneak Peek into My Son’s Room and Painted the Table in Red and Orange.
If you want to see the original HGTV Rate My Space post, just go to “My 15 year old’s room” and you will see the same photos I am including in this post, which are circa 2008. His room has changed so much since then and it is still changing. The TV in his room passed on. The TV’s demise and how my son and my husband waited to tell me about it, is enough material for another post. The wall next to his bed does not look like anything in the photo and is still a work in progress. Also, since he is away in college and basically just makes his way to Miami during the holidays in December, the large desk you see in the photos has actually become Red Ostelinda’s center of operations and it is a little very messy now.
This is my last post for today. Just finished most of my chores and I a going for my siesta. Have a great Saturday you all!
