Inside the Grand Canyon

WOW! I just realized it has been two months since my last post. I have neglected RedOstelinda…a little. It has been busy, I have to admit. Between the vacations, helping our son settle down in a new city, starting to cycle again and the long hours at work, I have not been able to post to RedOstelinda for a loooooong time. But that is stopping right now….
I do not have time for a long post right now, since we are literally getting ready to go cycling. We are, unfortunately, not riding with the bicycle club today. We have to get some things done at home and have some errands to run early today, so we do not have time for the usual wonderful Saturday morning ride with the Everglades Bicycle Club.
But I have time to post a YouTube video right before we leave the house. The YouTube videos I usually post are from the favorites I am subscribed to, but today I am posting our own video. This video is from our hiking trip to Tanner Trail/LCR Trail/Beamer Trail inside the Grand Canyon back in 2009. OK, if you know my husband and son, you will know that neither one of them is in the video. My husband was behind the camera and he is the one responsible for putting together this wonderful 3 minute video of our Grand Canyon hiking trip. And my son?…unfortunately, he was still in high school and in the middle of a semester and could not miss class.
I love watching this video again and again! The 3 minutes plus of the video don’t really capture the danger and the excitement of this trip, but watching again and again makes me remember how awesome I felt when we finally reached the rim and finished our 6 day-long-trek inside the Grand Canyon.
Enjoy your Saturday and I hope you like this old video!
