Isa Zapata

I saw the name of Isa Zapata for the first time a couple of days ago while waiting at my doctor’s office. I know what you are all thinking. YES, I am one of those people that browse through germ-laden magazines at doctor’s waiting rooms. So, I am going through the May 2013 issue of Brickell Magazine, when I find this add titled “Why should the walls have all the fun?” Wow! I always thought the same thing. And right below the title… were these photos of duvet covers, of a shower curtain and of a pillow in this playful prints and the name of the website isazapata.com. I had just enough time to snap a photo of the page before I was called in to see the doctor.

It was this morning that I was able to look at the photo and to find out what isazapata.com was about and who was the artist behind those colorful duvet covers, shower curtain and pillow. So, who is Isa Zapata? Isa Zapata is a Miami artist, who creates her art with one intention (as quoted from her bio in her website): “Make people happy by awakening everyone’s inner child”. She markets her art through various brands and various websites. She was featured in Brickell Magazine’s May/June 2009 issue as one of the 2009 Top 20 Professionals under Forty and both her artwork and her philanthropic efforts have also caught the attention of the national media.

I just want to share her delightful art with you, just in case you have lived under a rock for a while, like I appeared to have been myself.
